Overview ATA Aviation Marketplace E-Commerce Standards File Standards Traceability Standards

January, 2000 - Over the past 24 months, the Air Transport Association has been developing a new web based system that will deliver a wider range of e-commerce capabilities (i.e., part pricing information, surplus availability, repair capabilities and more) to the airline industry via the Web. The new system is based on the traditional Spec 2000 standards, already used heavily by the world's major airlines and suppliers. New features of the system will include on-demand uploads & downloads, user maintained profiles, ad-hoc reporting capabilities, more user friendly screens and more. This system is being significantly enhanced to deliver much more functionality at a fraction of the cost. Soon, all airlines and suppliers will enjoy the tremendous savings that were once afforded to large companies.
