ATA Announces New Director of XML Standards
Washington, Oct. 3, 2002 - The Air Transport Association (ATA) is pleased to announce that Paul Conn has returned to the organization as Director of XML Standards.
Conn comes to ATA with over 12 years of experience in technology and e-commerce. Most recently, he served as director of data & integration standards at Cordiem, a collaborative B2B aviation industry eSolutions provider owned by major airlines and manufacturers. At Cordiem, Conn was responsible for data integrity and standardization across its entire product line. Previously, Conn was vice president, E-business initiatives at the Graphic Communications Association (GCA) where he led multi-functional e-business and EDI standards committees for publishing industry. Prior to his work at GCA, Conn held various positions in technology, including manager of technical development for the ATA Spec 2000 program.
Conn has been heavily involved with the development and maintenance of standards within the air transport industry and has served on many industry committees and working groups. In his new role, he will lead the ATA effort to create a uniform technical foundation for the development of the industry's e-Business standards.
